Fortunately, you can eliminate this ring efficiently without resorting to harsh scrubbing or costly cleaners.
Tackle Floating Scum First
Before addressing the ring, use a skimmer net to remove any floating scum from the water’s surface. This prevents it from resettling on your spa shell during the cleaning process. Brown scum indicates high pH levels, green scum suggests the presence of copper in your water and blue-green scum results from a combination of metals and contaminants.

- Move diverter valve(s) to neutral position

- Pour required amount into water

- Do not add if sanitizer level is > 5 ppm (this shouldn’t happen with use of Dazzle Amaze or Amaze Plus).

The best way to avoid buildup is by preventing contaminants from entering the water. Encourage everyone to rinse off before using the hot tub. Place a floating oil-absorbing sponge like the Zorbie in the water to collect oils.
